Description
The Martin & Co MK11 Luxe By Martin Kovar is a custom lightweight string set for acoustic guitars in gauges 011–052. These strings have a steel core with a Kovar nickel-cobalt winding. This material is naturally corrosion-resistant and doesn't react to skin oils. You'll maintain a clear and stable tone for longer without a coating.
The lower tension allows for lighter, more controlled playing. This is noticeable with chords, fingerstyle, and fast passages. The tone is brighter than Monel and warmer than Phosphor Bronze, with a distinct attack and good balance across all strings. It's also suitable for guitars with magnetic pickups.
