Description
The Thomastik Infeld THRO-02A is an A-string for 4/4 violins with a carbon steel core and chrome winding. Designed as an alternative for players who prefer traditional steel-core A-strings, this string offers excellent corrosion resistance and exceptional tuning stability, making long rehearsals and performances effortless. For optimal intonation, we recommend using a fine tuner.
Compared to the RO02 (from the RO100 set), the THRO-02A offers more bow pressure support and less warmth in the tone, resulting in a brighter attack and faster response. The compact character of this string ensures a direct, focused response with a brilliant contour; the tone remains velvety and modulates towards a silky timbre, which works particularly well in solo parts as well as chamber music and orchestral passages.
