Discover the Seymour Duncan SD03471 SP90-1B Vintage P90 Soapbar pickup, the ideal choice for guitarists who want to experience the charm of vintage tone. This single-coil pickup is a meticulous reproduction of the legendary 1946 Gibson single-coil, offering the delicious midrange grittiness, sparkle, and growl that make P90 pickups so special.
Features of the SP90-1B:
- Dual alnico 5 bar magnets for unique timbre
- Powerful midrange with higher output than most other single coils
- Sweet and smooth sound in the neck position with powerful chords
- Gritty and open tone in the bridge position with nice harmonic blooms
These pickups are convenient drop-in replacements for traditional Gibson-sized P90 soap bars. They are also wound with plain enamel wire and produced on the Leesona winder, just as they were in the old Gibson factory in the 1950s. The vintage-style, braided single-threaded connection and wax potting ensure quiet operation without unwanted noise.
