The NitorLACK N260804108 in Heritage Cherry is a classic clear nitrocellulose lacquer, made famous by its use on Gibson SG guitars and as the red band in the Heritage Cherry Sunburst. This deep red color subtly allows the wood grain and underlying tones to shine through, creating a vibrant, natural finish. Because it's a clear lacquer, the color and grain of the wood play a significant role in the final result.
This lacquer is designed for professional use with a paint sprayer and compressor and is an excellent choice for those seeking an authentic vintage look. NitorLACK colors were carefully developed based on original samples from the 1950s and 1960s by Fender and Gibson. For optimal application, we recommend thinning the lacquer with Solvent Medium or Solvent Retard. Under the right conditions, this produces a smooth, durable finish with a distinctive appearance.
