Give your beautiful vintage guitar a new lease on life with the Hipshot® Vintage Tuner Upgrade Kit! This kit is designed for guitarists who want improved tuning stability without damaging their valuable instruments.
The innovative Grip-Lock™ system securely clamps your strings, resulting in improved tuning accuracy and stability. The patented UMP™ (Universal Mount Plate) allows you to install the tuners without modifying, damaging, or marring your headstock. In fact, all you need is a 10mm wrench for installation.
Key Features:
- Vintage style tuners that retrofit for guitars with 11/32" [8.5mm] headstock holes
- All tuning machines have a post length of .827" [21mm]
- Includes UMP™ (Universal Mount Plate) for 3+3 headstocks, suitable for guitars with three tuners on one side, without drilling or special tools
- Grip-Lock™ pin and thumbwheel system that clamps securely onto your strings without the need for winding
- 15:1 voice ratio for quick adjustments
- Schaller® M6 Mini footprint*
- The string post hole fits strings up to .060" (enlargement to .090" possible upon special request)
- Closed tuners come standard with hex knobs, but many knob sets are available
- Protected by U.S. and foreign patents
- Made in Korea
