The Prim PR-1211 E-1 medium gauge violin string combines an innovative stainless steel wire with a patented production method. This results in high tensile strength and a consistent, responsive playing feel without sacrificing tone. Unlike many carbon steel strings, this wire is virtually immune to corrosion from moisture or perspiration, ensuring stable tone and intonation in any environment. The removable ball end makes changing strings quick and easy, especially convenient for performing and recording.
Specially designed for 4/4 violins with a scale length of approximately 32.5 cm, this E-string offers a warm, full sound with clear articulation. It complements both steel and synthetic core strings found elsewhere in a professional's arsenal and inspires confidence in both classical and contemporary repertoire.
