Harby has updated this technology to surface mount (SMT) technology, which attaches components directly to the surface of the board, increasing efficiency and reducing costs without sacrificing sound quality.

• Paying homage to the original sound: The CENTAURI utilizes the legendary 1N34A germanium diodes, which Bill Finnegan considered the key to the original Centaur's characteristic distortion. The 1N34A diodes have a forward bias of 0.35v (±15%), contributing to this pedal's unique tone.

• High-Quality Components: Built with an original Centaur circuit board layout, the CENTAURI features gold-plated PCBs (ENIG), genuine Texas Instruments op-amps (TL072), and NOS 1N34A germanium diodes. All of this delivers the classic Centaur sound, combined with the benefits of more modern production methods.

• True-to-Original Buffered Bypass: Unlike many modern pedals that use true bypass, the CENTAURI retains the original buffered bypass, which provides consistent sound quality even when the pedal is switched off.
