This upgrade kit is perfect for guitarists who want both the security of Grip-Lock™ tuners and the classic look. Thanks to the UMP™ (Universal Mount Plate), installation is a breeze: no special tools are required, and you can easily return your guitar to its original state without any visible signs of the upgrade.
Key features of the Hipshot HS6K2GN0G upgrade kit:
- Standard tuning machines fit guitars with 13/32" [10mm] headstock holes
- All tuning mechanisms have a post length of .827" [21mm]
- Included UMP™ accommodates 3+3 headstocks with 3 tuners on each side; no drilling or special tools required
- Open gear tuning mechanisms are 18:1, while closed gear tuning mechanisms are 15:1
- Grip-Lock™ option uses a pin and thumbwheel system to clamp onto your string, with no windings required
- The Classic option uses traditional, non-locking string post for weight savings on neck dive guitars
- The string post opening accommodates strings up to .060"
- Covered by U.S. and foreign patents
