The Hipshot HS10700 Parsons Green B-String Bender is an innovative and expressive addition to Telecaster® guitars, designed specifically for players who want to incorporate that signature pedal steel tone into their playing. This so-called "B-bender" allows you to bend the B-string up a whole step by simply pulling on the guitar while it's hanging from the strap. A technique especially popular in country music and related styles.
This modern version was designed in collaboration with Gene Parsons himself, co-inventor of the original 1965 design. Installation requires extensive routing of the guitar body—a job best handled by an experienced luthier or repairer. Hipshot provides a routing template, manual, and technical drawings. The HS10700 is not only a functional extension but also a piece of musical history, born from the collaboration between Parsons and Clarence White of The Byrds.
