Description
The Royall KOA12US is a 12-fret tricone resonator guitar with a solid Hawaiian koa body and a built-in undersaddle pickup with volume and tone controls. The combination of the koa and the tricone system with three hand-spun 6" aluminum cones produces a warm, bright tone with plenty of layering and sustain. The cutaway provides easy access to the higher frets, ideal for expressive slide or melodic playing on stage or in the studio.
The satin-finish mahogany neck, slotted headstock with a gloss koa veneer, and wide 46mm nut make this resonator both comfortable and stylish. The pickup is connected to a Switchcraft 1/4" jack for reliable amplification. As with all Royall resonators, the instrument has been carefully tuned by resonator guitarists. The KOA12US comes with a sturdy brown faux leather dreadnought case for optimal protection.
