Thanks to the extensive TAD fire-in and formatting process, the 6550A-STR offer unparalleled consistency and stability. They even surpass the performance of the 6550C and are ideal for demanding applications such as the Ampeg SVT (note: suitable without tube bracket).
The TAD 6550A-STR features a heavy, straight glass envelope, a polished metal base, and authentic triple-getter construction. This balanced tube is renowned for its impressive lows and rich midrange.
