With the Hipshot HS6K1VEL0SS vintage guitar tuner upgrade kit, you can give your vintage tuner a new lease on life. If you find your guitar constantly going out of tune during performances, this upgrade kit is the perfect solution.
The Grip-Lock™ system securely clamps the strings, keeping the tone exactly as you've set it. The 11/32” (8.5mm) tuning post shaft and the UMP™ (Universal Mount Plate) make installation effortless, with no modifications to your guitar's headstock. This means you can reinstall your old tuning machines at any time without any trace of the upgrade.
Key features include:
- Vintage style tuners retrofitted for guitars with 11/32" [8.5mm] headstock holes
- Includes UMP™ (Universal Mount Plate) for 6 inline heads that fits guitars with 6 tuners on one side, without drilling or special tools
- Grip-Lock™ pin and thumbwheel system that clamps onto your string, eliminating the need for winding
- 15:1 tuning ratio for quick tuning
- Schaller® M6 Mini footprint
- String post hole suitable for strings up to .060" (expansion to .090" by special order)
- Closed-back tuners come standard with hex knobs, but many knob options are available
- Protected by U.S. and foreign patents
