The Grip-Lock™ system ensures that the string ends are securely clamped, keeping your tuning exactly as you've set it. The 11/32” [8.5mm] tuning post shank and the UMP™ (Universal Mount Plate) make installing this upgrade kit easy and without modifying the headstock of your vintage guitar.
Features of the Hipshot Vintage Tuner Upgrade Kit:
- Vintage style tuners suitable for guitars with 11/32" [8.5 mm] headstock holes
- Includes UMP™ (Universal Mount Plate) for 6 Inline headstocks, suitable for guitars with 6 tuners on one side, without drilling or special tools
- Grip-Lock™ pin and thumb wheel system clamps your string in place without the need for windings
- 15:1 tuning ratio for quick tuning
- Schaller® M6 Mini footprint
- String post hole suitable for strings up to .060" (expansion to .090" possible by special order)
- Closed-back tuners come standard with hex knobs, with many knob options available
