This upgrade kit is specifically designed to be easily installed on your vintage guitar without requiring any modifications to the headstock. The 11/32” (8.5mm) tuning post shaft and UMP™ (Universal Mount Plate) allow you to mount the kit on virtually any guitar with six side-mounted tuners without drilling or special tools. Plus, your old tuners can be reinstalled at any time, leaving no indication that you've ever upgraded.
