The Boston JN-21-PF is a budget-friendly yet solid choice for building your own JB-style bass. The neck is crafted from Canadian maple and features a durable pau ferro fingerboard, a wood often used on high-end instruments for its stable and responsive properties. The neck features a double truss rod, allowing you to fine-tune the tension for optimal playability and intonation.
The 9.5" fingerboard radius provides a comfortable grip and allows for a low string action, similar to many USA-built models. With a 38mm nut width and a standard 21-fret layout, this neck offers the classic JB feel. The paddle headstock allows for custom headstock designs, and the tuner holes accept standard 18mm bass machine heads.
