This Rotosound Tru Bass 88 string set is specially designed for short scale bass guitars (30") and delivers the characteristic warm, deep tone that was made world-famous on the Beatles album Abbey Road . Thanks to the black nylon flatwound construction and the ultra-low string tension, this set produces a tone strongly reminiscent of an upright bass, ideal for fretless basses and acoustic parts.
With standard gauges ranging from .065 to .115, this set offers a full tone with a soft attack and a smooth feel. Tru Bass strings are beloved by bassists in jazz, fusion, dub, and reggae , and were used by Herbie Flowers, among others, on Lou Reed's "Transformer ."
